Shoreline Music: Acoustic Guitars
Our foray into headphone sales began in the summer of 2005, when I decided that Grado Labs Headphones were too good for me to keep as my own little secret. Many hundreds of pairs of Grados later, I'm still convinced these are the finest headphones on the market, as are the many hundreds of customers who have purchased them from us. It doesn't hurt that pretty much every audiophile and stereo magazine agrees with this assessment. If you're looking for the best possible headphone listening experience, then Grados deserve a serious look.

Now, the recent trend toward in-ear phones has not gone unnoticed by us. I first used in-ear monitors onstage back in the '90s, and I frankly didn't care for them. But the current crop of in-ears is miles ahead of anything I used back then—even the $75 entry-level models sound better than those old phones. The rise of in-ear monitoring onstage has also coincided with the rise of the iPod, and many customers are finding all the benefits of in-ear monitors—isolation from external noise, for example—also make for good listening when plugging into iPods or any other portable audio source. The best of these new in-ears are undoubtedly those made by Shure, and we feature the full lineup of Shure headphones. If you're looking to upgrade from your standard-issue iPod earphones, be sure to check out the E2, our best-selling model.
