Schertler Giulia Y

I remember when Schertler introduced the Giulia amp at NAMM a few years back. It was probably my favorite find of the show:  Small and portable, even at 50 watts it packs the bi-amped punch of a larger amp, but comes in under $500. Even on that loud showroom floor, I could hear that this little beast was a winner.

Well, Schertler has stepped up their game on this amp, and is now offering it with two channels, hence the "Y" in the name. If you need a smaller amp for smaller venues or rehearsal that won't break the bank, look no further than the Giulia.

Great for classical guitar

Best small acoustic guitar amp I've owned. The frequency response sounds wonderful and I don't need an external EQ like I do on most other acoustic guitar amps. I use it with a classical guitar fitted with piezo disc pickups on the underside. These produce 8-10 volts which overloads many guitar amps, but this amp has a pad that levels it perfectly. The built-in DI is a great match for larger venues where I can use this amp as a stage monitor. Amazing volume from such a small amp. I haven't found any down-sides to report. Happy camper.
