In the guitar world, is there a more fitting combination than Goodall Guitars and Koa? If so, I don't know what it is. Yes, I know Goodall is no longer built in Hawaii, and yet the tradition is undeniable. In fact, when I floated the idea of ordering this guitar in Mahogany, I was lovingly set straight.
And why not? This guitar brings all the best that Goodall has to offer: A surprising lush richness that is reminiscent of a great Rosewood guitar, with the sweetness and clarity that good Koa brings to the table, at least when built with the right hands. Seriously, there's so much music and complexity in this guitar's tone, after strumming my first chord on it, I held it at arm's length to remind myself it was indeed simply(!) Sitka and Koa. That's the Goodall magic, folks. You're going to love this guitar.
