Highlander IP-2

Highlander Pickups are favored by lots of pro players, including Woody Mann, Martin Simpson, David Crosby, Graham Nash, Bob Brozman and others. The biggest attraction of Highlander pickups is their fat, complex tone. The tone of all undersaddle pickups is a bit stringy by definition, but the thick, coaxial design of the Highlander gives it the ability to sense the entire movement of the bridge, giving you a pleasing blend of body and string that is unlike any other undersaddle. This same design also makes these a great match for resonator guitars, and Highlander is the pickup of choice for anyone playing a National or Dobro.

The IP-2 listed here uses the same pickup and preamp as the IP-1, but adds a second input for a microphone or other pickup. Most people blend the pickup with the Highlander Internal Mic for a great dual-source system.

Well Done!

Shoreline music had the pickup I was looking for even though it is very difficult to find. The ordering process was smooth and the pickup arrived at my house within days! I couldn't be more satisfied.

Amazing

I play acoustically and only occasionally perform, but when I have, using a saddle pickup, I've always felt as if I was really in control of the sound in the way i would be without amplification. With the mic/pickup combination from Highlander, it's another story altogether - superbly responsive and an absolute joy to play. A lot of money, but why scrimp when you can have such a great product? Highly recommended.
