Radial Engineering JDI

The JDI is considered by many stage pros to be the finest DI in the world. While this doesn't have the massive internal voltage and dynamic handling of the JDV, it does have flat frequency response and complete freedom from distortion. Plus, since it uses no power supply, you don't have to hunt for somewhere to plug it in, and you're free from 60hz ground loops. The JDI pulls this off by using a Jensen transformer (Jensen the industry-leading transformer designers, not Jensen of car audio fame). This superior transformer also means that you get significantly more headroom than many other passive DIs—more even than many active DIs. If you're using a guitar with an active pickup, you'll have a hard time finding a better, quieter, more transparent DI than the Radial JDI. Also available in a two-channel version.

Great Product

The worship team guys kept telling me how clean the signal was from my acoustic guitar. My acoustic guitar had the K & K Trinity system, and it came with a belt clip external preamp. I used to feed this into the church's no name active DI box. Not only did it overload my signal, but the sound was grainy and somewhat distorted. With the Radial JDI, it was the purest, most transparent, uncolored sound I ever heard from my acoustic guitar plugged in. I play a lot of finger style, and each tone came out crystal clear. Money well spent, no doubt about it. If you are looking for a DI box, look no further. Thank you John for recommending this.

great product built like a tank

using this DI box with my active acoustic pickups (Baggs anthem) and it has really enhanced the pure sound of that pickup without adding extra gain and EQ. You really dont need much else to run a great keyboard or active instrument through. Best of the best.

PASSIVE PURITY

The RADIAL JDI has worked flawlessly and noiselessly PASSIVELY converting everything I have used it on: BASS, GUITAR, ACOUSTIC GUITAR, KEYBOARDS. The option to use the THRU INPUT in the stereo summing mode is very useful for all stereo output devices obviously balancing the left and right outputs perfectly. Rob J. SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
