Even with this bigger body, the tone of the Taylor Grand Orchestra isn't just big and boomy: it's balanced, articulate, sweet, and responsive. In many ways, it's unlike any Taylor you've ever played. The lows are substantial, articulate, and well-defined. You might expect a larger guitar like this to be simply boomy, but this new design really reins that in. The mids and highs are balanced and just a little bit sweet, an unexpected twist from what is essentially a jumbo guitar. You'd normally have to step up to a handmade guitar to get this combination of low resonance and light responsiveness. To get it in a factory guitar is exceedingly rare.
