Taylor GS MINI-e RW

  • Please note: Because of CITES restrictions on the international transit of rosewood, this model has been discontinued by Taylor.

As you know if you're reading this site, the GS Mini is Taylor's best selling model. It's essentially a shrunken Grand Symphony body (hence the "GS Mini"), which gives it a surprisingly full tone for a short-scale, smaller guitar with a narrow neck.

While all these models are excellent, I have to say that the rosewood is probably my favorite. You get just a bit of extra lushness and ring from an already great little instrument. Plus, look at that rosewood—on a full-sized custom instrument, wood that looked like that would normally command a fair upcharge.

Max'n on the Mini

Much has been said about the Taylor GS Mini, and I just need to echo all kudos these awesome little guitars receive. I recently received my GS Mini-e RW from Shoreline, and I couldn't be more pleased. This guitar looks incredible and sounds giant for it's size. It's so fun and comfortable to play that it's stealing playing time right now from my other two higher-end Taylors. I'm also a big fan of the ES-2 system, and am so glad to have the mini equipped with it. I highly recommend the GS Mini - and not just for travel - it's just a totally cool little guitar. Thanks Shoreline, for another great product and buying experience!!

Everything I expected, and more.

I had read good things about Shoreline Music on some of the guitar forums, and decided to talk to them about a new Taylor guitar. I wanted a Taylor GS Mini, but I was unsure about which model and combination of woods. I got great advice and guidance from John at Shoreline. He confirmed that the GS Mini was a good choice for me, and gave me spot on advice about the tone of the different wood combinations. Without John's advice, left to my own instincts, I would have gone a different direction. But I went with the Mini-E RW instead and I couldn't be happier. The guitar was perfectly set up. Intonation is right on. And the sound that comes from this smaller bodied GS style has to be heard to be believed, especially the sitka spruce/rosewood combination. Even the padded guitar bag is great quality. I asked about a hard case, but John counseled me to give this a try first. I'm glad I did. I doubt I will feel any need for a hard case. All in all, I can't say enough good things about the Taylor GS Mini-E RW and my experience buying it through Shoreline Music. Thanks John!
