This guitar originally sold through our shop about 9 months ago. Its owner is trading this toward the 12-fret version of the same guitar, so you get a sweet deal. Condition is Excellent+. The only mark is a fingernail indentation right below the soundhole. It's otherwise immaculate.
When Taylor updated the design of their 800 series guitars in 2014, we all hoped that those improvements would work their way through to the rest of the product line. A year later, I'm happy to announce that they have, and the results are quite stunning.
I've made no bones about my preference for Taylor's Grand Concert body shape. I think it's their best instrument—pretty much all our custom/BTO Taylors are Grand Concerts, and we typically have more of these than any other Taylor body style in the shop. So, of course, when I heard the 900s were getting an update, I put this instrument on order as soon as I could. There's no cutaway, no factory electronics, just clean beauty, and a remarkably rich and sweet tone. If you're in the market for a premium Taylor, look no further than this outstanding guitar right here. It's a keeper.
