If you think you'll only be playing seated, you're might be just fine getting the shorter tripod without the extensions (the Atlas Short).
Furthermore, you don't plan to use a tripod, and are just looking for body / head piece to anchor between your legs for lap playing, you might be just fine getting that piece only (the Atlas Body).
