Martin Seeliger has been building Lakewood guitars in Germany since 1985. Since then, his guitars have developed a worldwide reputation for craftsmanship and tone.
I spoke to lots of Lakewood folks at the 2011 Frankfurt Musikmesse, from Martin to his production managers, and they all insist that they're making the best guitars they've ever made. I'm inclined to agree with them. Back in the beginning, most of the Lakewoods we sold were stock models, usually M32 and D32. But these days, with the ease of using their online guitar builder, and our great prices, we've had a parade of custom Lakewoods across our doorstep. Perhaps the next one will be yours.
