"Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

Where are you located?
In Appleton, Maine.
Didn’t you used to be in Colorado?
Yes! I was there for the better part of 17 years. It’s likely there are still many references online to our Durango shop (not the least of which are our old YouTube videos saying as much), but Shoreline is in Maine for the foreseeable future.
What are “Legacy Guitars"?
Shoreline Music began as the world’s first online guitar seller. Over the years, the product mix has ventured far and wide beyond simply guitars and strings and capos, into the stuff I personally like to use and play. This has included headphones and DACs, turntables, cajons, bass amps, and so much more. Through it all, guitars have been the most popular draw, whether I had 3 in stock or 90.
When I left that amazing storefront in Durango and relocated to mid-coast Maine, I was faced with a quandary: What do I do about all those guitars that were filling my shop, all those fantastic builders I’d worked with over the years? This coincided with some changes in my own music making; these changes are now reflected in our current product offerings. So, gone are the days of a big showroom lined with many dozens of handmade guitars.
But even with a new focus on handpans, I will of course continue to sell SOME guitars. I still have relationships with the builders you see on our site, and will always keep a few around. The Larrivee OM-40—our bestseller over the last 10 years—is something I’ll keep on hand, and I’ll definitely keep stage guitars like the Baggs AEG-1. Count on a few other guitars from builders I’m still in touch with, like Northwood and Avalon.
But what about all the other guitars I used to sell? Well, I still really like them, and I’m proud of what I’ve done to help build those brands. It would be shame simply to delete all the reviews, photos, and demo videos, so I’ll keep them in place for a while, as “Legacy Guitars”. If watching a video of Dennis Wakeman playing a Brook guitar inspires to you contact Brook and order a Torridge or a deep-bodied Taw, nothing would make me happier, even if I’m not the one stocking the guitar.
When will my order ship?
If it's before 1:00pm Maine time on a weekday, it should ship immediately. If I anticipate a delay, you'll be notified right away.
Do you ship to my country?
Yes, but international shipping has gotten more onerous over the least 15 years. We have built-in options in our checkout, but if you have trouble ordering from overseas, drop a line and we should be able to figure out a solution.
What is your return policy?
We’ll take back any product, for any reason, within 30 days, and we’ll give you a full refund.
