Elixir Nanoweb Acoustic Guitar Strings 3-Pack

My hands have some sort of sweat/oil combination that corrodes regular strings within a week. Elixir's solved my issue and literally last for months. And the price through Shoreline is always the best. Thanks, John!

I was not an immediate fan of Elixir strings. I tried Elixir Polyweb strings and disliked the slippery feel. However, I did like the Nanoweb strings better. After trying them several times I’ve found they are long-lasting and nice sounding in general. They are absolutely the perfect strings for some of my guitars and not ideal for others. So I think it’s worth trying them out to get a sense of how they perform on each guitar. I would give the Nanoweb PBs 5 stars and the 89/20s a 4 star rating. I find the 80/20s to be slightly “trebly” for my taste. However, I have not tried them on most of my guitars yet. I am not thrilled with how the wound strings fray over the sound hole after extended playing. But it doesn’t seem to affect the tone. Overall these are very nice strings that are worth the money.

I have now purchased several pickup systems and sets of strings from Shoreline. As with each time before they are great to deal with. Fast shipping and the best prices around. This latest purchase - a three-pack set of Elixir Nano 80/20 acoustic guitar strings came in less than the price of two packs at any store you can travel to. Elixir strings last generally 6 to 9 months of daily playing! The coated strings are comfortable to play and reduce string squeak as well. Love them. Put them all my guitars for the last several years. One in awhile I'll try something else but I always come back to Elixir - and to Shoreline!

I recently picked up a 3 pack of Elixir Light Nanoweb strings as a favor to my brother-in-law, who needed to borrow my guitar for a few weeks while his was in for repairs. I normally play uncoated strings, but his body chemistry literally killed them in one day! So I went online to Shoreline and ordered a 3 pack (one for my guitar now, and two for him later!), and a few regular sets of other strings. I haven't used Elixirs in quite a few years, and I also have only been using medium gauge strings on my D18, so my plan was to let him use it for a few weeks, rip off the Elixirs and get back to business as usual. Boy, was I shocked at how good my D18 sounded and played with these on it! The highs were clear, the mids loud, and the lows full! And the "new string zing" that I love so much (but had always felt that Elixirs lacked) was there, too! Not to mention how great the light gauge felt to my fingers! After 2 weeks, I still have them on, and I'm really happy with the results. Perhaps it was more my guitar opening up over time, or maybe my own ears changing, but I don't think this will be the last time I put these on my D18!

Also, more to the quality and longevity of Elixirs, as I mentioned, my brother-in-law can kill uncoated strings in record time, but these Elixirs sound, feel, and play just as good 2+ weeks in as they did day one! Thanks John for a great price, great service, and great products!
