  • Elixir Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings

Elixir Strings are brought to you by W.L. Gore and Associates, an innovator in PTFE polymer since 1958 (think Teflon). If you're a skier and a hiker like me, you've probably used Gore-Tex clothing for years. Now, they turn this expertise to making polymer coatings for their Elixir guitar strings, and the results are striking. You don't have to spend long in any guitar-related discussion before someone eventually begins praising the long-lasting tone of these popular strings. It's this long-lasting tone that has led many major guitar manufacturers to ship their guitars already strung with Elixir strings.

    Great Sounding Strings

I really like the bright tone and playability of Elixir Nanos on my guitars and mando. Elixir strings are long-lasting and consistent quality. The price and service from Shoreline make these strings an exceptional value. Thanks John and crew!

    So comfortable

The strings are so comfortable to play and there is very little string noise.

    Record breaking longevity

We use these strings on my wife's Taylor mini because they maintain their quality tone longer than any other strings we've tried (and we've tried a few.) She wants strings that bring out the best in the guitar, but she also doesn't want to be changing strings every month. These Elixirs seem to last 4-5 months with no reduction in sound quality. Don't know how they do it, but we really appreciate the convenience - and the high quality that accompanies it!

    The secret tonic

I use uncoated strings on one of my guitars but find that coated works best on others. I have Elixir 80/20 Polywebs on a guitar now and, even though I think that PB will sound better, I love the way they feel! I have used Elixir PB on a Breedlove I used to own and really think they are the best coated string out there. Great feel and tone and worth the extra you pay!
