Every Goodall guitar is a work of art, a bit of sonic magic that you feel privileged to hold in your hands. But truth be told, I'll always have a soft spot for the Standard you see here. It was the first Goodall I ever played (many years ago), and to my ear it still captures the quintessence of the Goodall tone: Rich lows, airy highs, ringing with a lush, reverberant sustain.
The body on this is large—that 16" bout puts it in league with the largest guitars we sell, and the waist is pretty sizable, too. This makes for a big-box tone, but with great responsiveness to a light touch, giving it tons of dynamic range and versatility. If you're looking for that classic Goodall tone in an instrument that can do it all, this is your instrument.
