"Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

The Larrivee OM-40 has quickly become our best-selling guitar, and for great reason: With its feet firmly planted in the Larrivee tradition of balanced tone, great woods, and beautiful design, the OM-40 adds scalloped bracing for a fatter, older sound that fills out the low end a bit while still maintaining great balance. Toss in a throwback (i.e., Martin) headstock and some open-back tuners, and you have a cool guitar that looks as good as it sounds.
Of course, once we find a guitar that sells well, we start exploring variations on the theme. In this case, we've ordered the OM-40 with Austrian Spruce instead of Sitka (hence the "A" in the product name). The Austrian adds a blonder look, and a bit of a ring and a chimey sweetness. You're going to love it.
Received my Larrivee OM-40A a little over three weeks ago and I love it. Have never played an OM before. John gave me a great deal on it, and I couldn't refuse. I already own an LV-05 and a Northwood R80-MJ that I bought from Shoreline in the last two years, and they are superlative guitars. But I find myself playing the OM-40A more than the other two. Thanks, John and Shoreline Music for offering such great instruments!!!
