This guitar was originally a custom build, but I'm pretty sure we'll be revisiting this sometime soon. With a Redwood top, Mahogany back and sides, and Ebony trim, the guitar is visually quite stunning (but then again, so are all of John's guitars).
The guitar boasts the real springiness and clarity you expect from a Northwood Mahogany guitar, but the redwood adds a chunky character to the notes that increases the lower you get in the guitar's register. It makes for a truly satisfying fingerstyle instrument. Be sure to check out our video on this page for a play-through.
