"Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

As you no doubt know, the McIlroy A30C is one of our best selling guitars, and for great reason. But over at McIlroy Musical Instruments, their best selling spruce-topped guitar is the A36C you see here—Dermot says this is most of what folks are ordering these days.
So, needless to say, I knew I had to get one in my inventory (I've sold a bunch as customs over the years). I'd say the main difference is that the Italian Spruce softens the attack just a bit, making this just a hair more responsive to a light touch, almost like a cedar top. But it maintains the high headroom of a Spruce-topped McIlroy. What more could you ask for?
This is a quality crafted instrument that feels as though I had custom ordered it. Thanks Shoreline for putting one in my hands. For me, it's perfect.
I have not done any of these reviews before so bare with me. I have been actively looking for an Irish-style guitar for finger-style open tunings. Its a very light well-build responsive guitar; everything I thought my Lowdens should have been. More to come...
