"Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

While the various stainless steel alloys are by far the most popular for handpans, I really love handpans, like the one you see here, made of nitrided steel. They don't have as much sustain, but this can be quite appealing, especially if your playing style is more percussive and note-focused. In a way, they're a lot like nylon string guitars, or even maybe steel strings with less resonant tonewoods like maple.
This handpan was the second Patera I ever played, and I honestly couldn't decide whether I like it or its stainless cousin better. It really sounds great, and is the most affordable handpan we offer. If you're looking for a great starter handpan that you'll enjoy even after you fill out your collection, you can't go wrong with this beauty.
Every US order is shipped free. It does not matter the size, weight, or value of the shipment. It all ships free to any US ZIP code. This includes Alaska, Hawaii, APO/FPO and territories like Guam and Puerto Rico.
Please note that we do not ship handpans to overseas addresses.
