The Audioengine A5+ is a technically a desktop speaker, but its tone is anything but small. It is as rich and satisfying as the Audioengine A2+, but with the added fullness and dynamics of a larger speaker cabinet. But the tone is just the beginning with these speakers. Audioengine has engineered them to play nicely with all your audio systems, whether wired or wireless. If you want to go wireless, you can plug in an Airport Express or Audioengine's W3. If you just want to plug in your iPod, it has a USB port to power the iPod, and the A5+ comes with all the necessary connecting cables. If you're looking for a versatile desktop or bookshelf speaker with killer tone, it's hard to imagine more bang for your buck.
