"Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

Out of the thousands of sets we've sold the last couple of months, a few have arrived with squished packaging. So, these are brand new, but with scrunched boxes.
Elixir Strings are brought to you by W.L. Gore and Associates, an innovator in PTFE polymer since 1958 (think Teflon). If you're a skier and a hiker like me, you've probably used Gore-Tex clothing for years. Now, they turn this expertise to making polymer coatings for their Elixir guitar strings, and the results are striking. You don't have to spend long in any guitar-related discussion before someone eventually begins praising the long-lasting tone of these popular strings. It's this long-lasting tone that has led many major guitar manufacturers to ship their guitars already strung with Elixir strings.
I don't like changing strings and these really last a long time. They sound great, I'm very pleased. Shoreline was great to deal with as usual.
Always love purchasing from Shoreline Music. Great customer service and great pricing. I was able to get these strings to a friend who swears by Elixir strings.
In my experience, Elixirs sound good when you first put them on but sound even better after they're on a bit and "played-in". They have that nice, bright sound that a lot of folks really like when putting on new strings. The difference is that it lasts, and lasts, and lasts.
I play fingerstyle guitar, a lot, and though most people are impressed by the way they feel on your fretting hand, I find it makes a difference on right hand nail longevity, as well. I do like the fact that you don't get the "string zing" that's normally inherent in uncoated strings, though that's not a terribly big issue for me.
If you like to change strings - don't buy Elixirs. If you want a great sounding and feeling string that lasts a LONG time, then Elixirs just might be your favorite string.
The current 2 for 3 pack that Shoreline & Elixir is offering is a great value. I missed out the last time they were offering these so don't wait - buy them while they last.
