  • "Legacy Guitars" are those builders I've sold in the past but no longer keep in stock. I'm keeping them in place on the site because I still love the guitars and hope you will, too. Read more here.

  • John Pearse Nickel Wound Banjo Strings

John Pearse Phosphor Bronze is our best-selling string. The tone is meaty, articulate, and lively, and in my experience (your mileage may vary, of course), they last longer than any other uncoated strings I've ever used. This is why I use these PBs on my own guitars more than any other string.

    Long neck Banjo Strings

I've triem most all out there. But when it cimes to 5 strings long neck strings , John Pearse "Nickel Wound Medium Gauge" are the best! These take the best my "heavy" right hand can dish out and I could'nt be HAPPIER! I'm may not be the greatest player on the plantet, but these John Pearse Strings deserve to be on the banjo of the person who is.

    Perfect for what we needed!

Our 14 year old son made a cigar box banjo & needed the extra long strings to complete the project. They worked exactly right!

    Pearse Banjo Strings

Excellent strings for banjo. Good articulation and tone. Can hear every string equally with no muddy tones. I use Pearse strings on all my stringed instruments and could not be happier. Made my $300 banjo sound like a million bucks. Would definitely purchase again and highly recommend.
