Neotone Mutant Handpan — Mahogany

The Mutant model is the very best version of the Neotone. Not only does it come in a gorgeous array of wood options (click back to the main category page to see them all), but it boasts an incredible feature set.

It comes pre-loaded with six fully-sampled standard scales (including two tunings of Pygmy, my favorite scale). The nine primary tone fields on the Mutant also have small extra tone fields built in that give you an additional nine notes; as such the Mutant also comes pre-loaded with three Mutant-only scales to take advantage of these.

You change tunings quite simply—just press on the ding and one of the tone fields for a few seconds. The Mutant includes a small control panel on the playing field that makes it easy to manage the switch between these tunings (and don't forget that you can create your own tunings with their app). 

This is the Neotone the first won me over, and it's still my highest recommendation—it's impossible to beat the combination of beauty and function. You're going to love it.
