This handpan is Patera's newest, and probably their most in-demand. And why not? Anytime you can get a low G for your ding, you're bound to get room-filling sound, and this appeals to players of every ability.
This instrument does not disappoint—it looks and plays great. I haven't mentioned this elsewhere, but I'm actually a fan of the knit border that wraps the circumference of Patera handpans. Most builders go for a more spartan look, with the joined lips of the two shells exposed. It's a simple aesthetic choice that has zero impact on the sound, and Patera's take on this makes it just a tiny bit more comfortable to lift.
