The pickup you see here spent many years going by the D-TAR Wavelength designation, but now that Seymour Duncan has streamlined their branding a bit, it's the Wavelength Solo (to distinguish it from the Wavelength Duo). And here's the best news: Other than the label on the packaging, exactly nothing has changed about the pickup. It's the same great design as you've been playing with all these years.
It features the same balanced, dynamic tone, and the same killer dynamic range of an 18-volt preamp. It still includes a tone pot (inside the guitar, on the preamp) for improved EQ control. And, as before, this is my favorite undersaddle pickup. Still.
I've ordered products from these folks while living in 3 different countries, but that hasn't affected their ability to provide stellar service one bit.
Who else sends you a hand-written card thanking you for your order?!
Oh yeah, the wavelength pickup (3rd one I've had) is unbeatable, imho.
