This is my second-favorite Zoom mic behind the H5 Studio. Like all the other Essential mics, this boasts 32-bit float recording, which means you'll never have to worry about levels again. Also, like all the other current models, it can act as a USB mic for your laptop or iPhone or other recording device, while simultaneously recording to the SD card.
But what makes this model so interesting is the variety of mic configurations that are built in, under the hood. You can choose from a front-focused setup (as you might use for recording vocals), a broad 90° mode for covering more ground, and various stereo an mono configurations using the front and back mics at the same time.
