The first time we got an OM-03 in our shop, I was just looking for a few more guitars to put in the mix that were more affordable than our usual selection. I'm a big fan of the mahogany Larrivee OMs, so this was a natural choice. And what a choice it was. This guitar is really lively, with great character and balance. Great playability and fit and finish are a given with Larrivee, but this one is just fun to pick up and play. It frankly caught us by surprise, and every one we've sold since then has been a winner.

Larrivee doesn't charge as much for their satin-finished guitars, but more than a few people prefer the look of satin finishes, anyway. Plus, I wonder if the lighter finish is a well-kept secret: I'm actually tempted to say that this guitar sounds better than the OM-05. Either way, it's a fine instrument—one of our very best under $1300—and a steal at this price.

Incredible Guitar

I recently purchased a Larrivee OM-03 from Shoreline when John announced their moving sale. I have owned two other Larrivees, L-03 and OM-40 (also bought from John). I have been wanting another, but as John was sold out of the OM-40, I wasn't sure if the OM-03 would satisfy me. When John put it on sale, I figured I had to take a chance. Boy, am I glad I did! For me, this is the perfect guitar. The warmth and clarity of mahogany and sitka, the balance and intangibles that Larrivee brings to the mix, the perfect intonation along with easy of play...I can't put this thing down! For those who are concerned that the standard OM-03 series Larrivees don't have enough bass compared to the OM40, I can say that I don't feel mine is lacking in any way. The aesthetic is different, but the tone is pure Larrivee goodness! Grateful to John for offering it at such a great price, as it will be my one and only for the foreseable future. I see no need for anything else...except maybe another Larrivee to keep it company some day! Thanks again John! Wishing you all the best with the move!

Larrivee + Shoreline = Greatness

I wanted a Larrivee OM-03 for some time but couldn't find one in my area to test out or buy. Nervously I went to the internet to buy it online. Shoreline put all those fears to bed about ordering a guitar online. It arrived well packaged and within 2 days priority service. Also they answered all my 'nervous nelly guitar being shipped' questions over the phone prior. Would recommend Shoreline to anyone at this point and oh yeah the OM-03 rocks!!!
