The first Boucher guitar I ever played was the Bubinga version of this guitar. That instrument won me over with its fantastic balance and resonant tone, but I asked Robin at the time whether I could also have one in Rosewood. He of course obliged, and I'm glad he did.
Playing this guitar at length in our shop, I find myself enjoying all the great features of that Bubinga guitar: Great intonation and just a bit of a bite under a pick, to name a few. The rosewood adds a nice bit of shimmer and resonance, as you'd expect, but that tight, effortless low rumble does not become boomy, as it can in some rosewood guitars—it's still satisfyingly balanced. Since I'm holding this version right now, it's my favorite OM Hybrid, but I may give you a different answer when I'm holding the Bubinga. They're both awesome. Maybe you should get one of each.
