So here's a little fun fact you may not know about the Larrivee OM-02: It is identical to the OM-03 in every way. Well, except one—instead of a herringbone soundhole rosette, the OM-02 has a plain rosette. It's otherwise an OM-03, which is already a fine instrument. Given that this is essentially the same guitar at a better price, why don't you see a gazillion of these OM-02s at Larrivee dealers everywhere?
From what I can tell, the OM-02 is the Larrivee gateway drug. They intentionally get you hooked on that rich, balanced Larrivee tone at a great price, expecting that you'll eventually turn your eyes toward an upgrade. But here's a little secret: This guitar is good enough to be your main instrument, ready for hours of play time, perhaps many more hours onstage with a K&K Pure Mini. It really is that good. No upgrade necessary.
